A regulation that prohibits the installation of individual heating plants in apartments, allowing only plants for entire blocks, has come into force in Romania since 2023. This measure is in line with European environmental protection directives and aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve energy efficiency.

Why this change?

The decision to ban individual boilers is based on several reasons. Although these boilers are appreciated for the control they offer over consumption and costs, they contribute significantly to urban pollution. Each individual boiler operates independently, which leads to higher fuel consumption and increased CO2 emissions. In contrast, block boilers are much more efficient, distributing heat more evenly and reducing emissions per apartment.

Benefits of block power plants in Rokman projects

  1. Energy efficiency and reduced costs for owners: These plants optimize fuel consumption and reduce heat loss, ensuring more efficient use of resources.
  2. Space saving in apartments: The thermal modules for each apartment, connected to the central heating system in the building, are installed in the common hallway next to each door. Thus, the space previously intended for regular central heating systems, usually located in the kitchen, can be used for other purposes.
  3. Reduced maintenance costs: The installation and maintenance of a block central heating system are more economical than individual ones, with the costs being shared between apartment owners.
  4. Control and monitoring: The administrator can monitor and control energy and hot water consumption for the entire building, leading to significant long-term savings. Apartment owners can monitor individual consumption.
  5. Sustainability: The use of block power plants reduces the negative impact on the environment by decreasing resource consumption and carbon emissions.

Conclusion

Banning individual apartment central heating systems in favor of block-level central heating systems is an important step towards a more sustainable future. While this change may seem difficult for many, in the long run it will contribute to protecting the environment and creating more energy-efficient urban communities.

The Rokman team will continue to implement these changes with professionalism and dedication, ensuring that all aspects related to the operation and safety of the block plants are respected. Thus, we contribute to creating a cleaner and more energy-efficient environment for all residents.
